Sharing
different cultures and getting to know habits and traditions from another
country is in my point of view one of the most interesting things in life. When
going abroad being open-minded to other cultures seems very important to me
because you certainly will gain a lot of experiences and new friends for your
whole life.
About myself
My name is
Sarah and at the moment I am studying at the Turku University of Applied
Sciences for my exchange semester and therefore decided to take the tandem
course where you can learn about each-others cultures and languages.
Our tandem
I am doing
my tandem with Aimée who is from Northern Ireland. Doing the tandem with her is
very interesting to me as she is attending the early child hood studies at the
Stranmillis University in Belfast. This topic is highly connected with my
studies as I am studying primary school teaching at the PHSG in Switzerland.
Moreover, I am really keen on getting to know more about Northern Ireland
because I have never been there before and have heard of the landscape to be
extremely astonishing.
During
those days we already spent together, Aimée became a very good friend to me.
Aimée is an extremely nice and welcoming person. I really appreciate being able
to do the tandem with her and learn a bit more about her home country, family
and surroundings.
